Somerset House is situated in the centre of the tranquil Edwardian resort of Grange over Sands, on the tip of the Cartmel Peninsula, with its charming independent shops, famous cafes, fragrant parks and gardens. A mile long promenade overlooks the sandy expanse of Morecambe Bay. We are on the Bay Cycle route and the WtoW route.
While remaining a traditional Bed and Breakfast home from home, we know that everyone taking a break needs more than just a place to lay their head. Many of our guests are on cycling or walking holidays. We look after you and are always pleased to help. We are happy to collect you (and your bikes!) from the station if you need us to.

An 11-minute walk from Grange-over-Sands train station, this casual, award winning quality Guest House provides top quality bed and breakfast accommodation. We provide 8 comfortable en-suite rooms with digital tv, power showers (2 family rooms, 2 twin rooms,1 single and 3 doubles)
Our freshly cooked ‘English Breakfast’ consists of Bacon, Fried Egg, Sausage , Hash Brown, Beans or Tomato.
Breakfast and Lounge area
Breakfast is served in our spacious dining room alternatively we can deliver to your room if preferred.
Cycling in the Lake District
While we aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible, we also want you to enjoy everything in the local area.
